A survey by Highlights magazine of kids ages 6-12 found that 62% said that their parents are sometimes distracted when they’re trying to talk to them. By what (I’m sure you know)? Big surprise: cell phones, followed by siblings. The study analyzed more than 1500 surveys from kids, many of whom gave eye-opening quotes. One eight-year-old girl answered the question, “If your parents lost their cell phone for a day, what do you think would happen next?”… “Freak out, but I’d be happy.” How’s that for a wake up call?
Ways to Love Yourself This Holiday
say to yourself: “I don’t need to do all this. I choose to do all this because the end results makes me happy, and the people around me happy. The world won’t end if I take this moment to myself, and let myself know that I am enough.”
